Races Guide — Complete V1 & V2 Reference
Your race is one of the most important parts of your build. It gives permanent passive bonuses that affect movement, stamina, survivability, combat, water travel, and Haki. There are 7 core races, plus 9 rare variants without V2 upgrades.

💡 You can store up to 5 races with the Archivist of Bloodlines NPC (Snowy Graveyard, Sea 2 / Land of the Gods, Sea 3). Each slot costs 1,000 Gems. If you reroll your race, you lose V2 for the previous race.
Race V1 Bonuses
Every race starts with V1 bonuses immediately. There is no unlock — your race is assigned at character creation or via reroll.
Human

Human's speed kicks in when you take damage — great for escaping bad situations or repositioning mid-fight.
Beastborn

Skyborn

Fishborn

Demon

The tankiest V1 race. Extra health, faster regen, and a mobility bonus make this the best all-around pick for beginners.

The only race that gets Conqueror's Haki without completing the Haki quest. Normally costs 250 stamina to use.
Race V2 Evolution
Race V2 dramatically upgrades your bonuses and often adds a new ability. It is one of the biggest power spikes in the game.
How to Unlock V2
- Reach Level 2,200 and travel to Second Sea
- Go to Starter Island (C2) and find the Race Engineer NPC inside a building near spawn
- Complete three quests:
- Quest 1: Defeat a Sea Beast — spawns in Second Sea ocean every 30 mins. Higher bounty (100k+) increases spawn rate
- Quest 2: Open 50 Treasure Chests around the map — best areas are Starter Island and Marine Base
- Quest 3: Defeat the Zenith Boss on Shadow Island during a storm event (~190k HP). Use long-range fruits like Phoenix or Dragon for safety
- Return to the Race Engineer and pay 1,000,000 Beli + 100 Gems
⚠️ You can repeat the V2 quest for other races, but you must pay the Beli + Gem cost again each time. Rerolling your race removes V2.
Human V2

The extra Observation dodge is a game-changer in PvP — lets you avoid one more combo before taking damage.
Beastborn V2

Massive mobility increase. Fastest land race in the game.
Skyborn V2

Glide makes Skyborn the king of vertical traversal. Combined with the double Sky Walk boost, you can reach nearly any high point in the game.
Fishborn V2

Water Immunity alone makes Fishborn V2 one of the best upgrades. Devil Fruit users normally die in water — Fishborn V2 removes this weakness entirely.
Demon V2

Hellfire Circle adds free damage and area denial to your movement. Pairs incredibly well with aggressive melee builds.
Dragonborn V2

The tankiest race in the game. 20% bonus HP combined with glide makes Dragonborn the safest pick for boss fights and hard content.
D Clan V2

The 50-stamina discount on Conqueror's Haki lets you use it more frequently. Combined with the doubled HP and stamina, D Clan V2 is the top PvP race.
