Haki Guide — Complete Reference

Haki is one of the most important progression systems in Haze Seas. There are three types: Buso (Armament) for damage, Observation (Ken) for dodging, and Conqueror's (Haoshoku) for crowd control. Each has its own unlock method, leveling system, and evolution path.

Buso Haki — Armament Haki

Buso coats your weapon/body in black hardening, increasing damage and letting you hit Logia fruit users. Only affects sword and fighting style damage — does NOT boost fruit damage.

Leveling & Evolution

All Buso evolution is done through the Armament Expert NPC in Flower Capital (Sea 2, spawn area).

EXP is gained by attacking while Buso is active. Every hit thrown counts. Check your progress with the command ;busoexp me.

Buso Level 5 Quest

1. Reach 100,000 EXP → Armament Expert offers the quest
2. Endure 1,000 hits from enemies (you must be hit, not block)

💡 The 10% damage resistance at Level 5 is a massive survival boost for boss fights and PvP.

Observation Haki — Kenbunshoku Haki

Observation Haki lets you dodge incoming attacks. Each level increases the number of dodges before the cooldown triggers.

Leveling & Evolution

All Observation evolution is through the Observation Expert NPC in Flower Capital (Sea 2, spawn area).

EXP is gained by dodging attacks (not blocking). Unequip Logia fruits and stand near NPCs to farm dodges efficiently.

Observation Level 6 Quest

1. Reach 4,000 dodges → Observation Expert offers the quest
2. Kill 5 players (PvP kills)
3. Defeat all island bosses in Sea 2
4. Pay 10,000,000 Beli

Level 6 Perks

• 8 dodges (max base dodge count)
• See players on different islands (name + location marker, 10x normal range)
• See player HP, Stamina, Level, and Hotbar (Fruit, Sword, Fighting Style equipped) within 1,000 studs

Conqueror's Haki — Haoshoku Haki

Conqueror's Haki emits a shockwave that stuns and knocks back nearby enemies. It can also trigger a clash with other Conqueror users.

Conqueror's Clash

Triggered when two players activate Conqueror's Haki within 300 studs of each other:

• Both players become temporarily immortal
• Minigame: hit 10-20 randomly appearing bubbles on screen, fast
• 10 second time limit — if neither finishes: "Clash Cancelled!"
• Winner: enemy gets knocked back + stunned + damaged
• Loser: knocked back + stunned + damaged
• Important: Conqueror's Haki does NOT work on players with 8M+ bounty — only clash is possible

Title: "Conqueror Of Wills" — win a conqueror clash.

Ultra Instinct (Secret Cosmetic)

A purely cosmetic skin and title with no gameplay buffs. Unlocked through the Observation Expert NPC in Flower Capital.

Requirements

1. Complete Observation Level 6 (including the quest)
2. Reach 20,000 total dodges
3. Pay 2 Shrine Relics (100% drop from Sea Shrine event, Sea 2)
4. Pay 1,000 Gems

Rewards

• Ultra Instinct title
• Ultra Instinct aura skin (activates when Observation Haki is used)

⚠️ The grind is massive — 20,000 dodges takes a very long time. This is a prestige cosmetic for dedicated players.

Haki Colors

You can customize your Haki aura color through two NPCs.

Pirate Chroma — Color Spins

• Spin for random Haki colors (12 unique colors total)
• Can equip any unlocked color
• Title: "Colorbearer" — unlock 1 color
• Title: "Aura Seeker" — unlock all 12 colors

Rainbow Haki

Obtained from Researcher Iris NPC:

1. Unlock all 12 unique Haki colors (via Pirate Chroma)
2. Craft 1 Prismatic Shard via Doran the Forge (Sea 3, Land of the Gods):
   • Phantom Lantern
   • Dragon Heart
   • Sea Beast Heart
   • Raijin Core
   • Saturn's Ring (All 5 are Mythic materials)
3. Pay 500 Gems

Rainbow Haki cycles through all colors continuously — the ultimate flex.

Progression Priority

1. Buso Level 1 — first priority at Lv350, enables hitting Logia users
2. Observation Level 1 — get at Lv600 for boss/survivability

5. Buso Level 5 — endgame damage + defense
6. Observation Level 6 — endgame utility + wallhacks
7. Conqueror's — if you roll D Clan or buy the gamepass
